Mallory Van Beek

Mallory grew up in the nearby community of Berrigan and returned to the local area following the completion of her legal training.  Mallory holds a Bachelor of Laws for the University of Canberra. She was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the ACT in 2017 and was admitted into the High Court in 2019.

During and after her studies Mallory was employed by Legal Aid ACT as a paralegal where she gained invaluable experience assisting a range of clients predominantly with criminal law matters. Mallory worked at Cassidy Morrison and Teare in Cobram before joining Taylor & Whitty in 2019.

Mallory works regularly in our Finley, Cobram and Yarrawonga offices and provides legal advice and assistance to clients in both New South Wales and Victoria.

As a generalist solicitor, Mallory has experience in a number of areas of law. This helps to be able to provide a broad perspective and to be able to identify numerous legal issues across different areas of law. Her primary areas of practice are property, wills and estates, family law and criminal law.

She can assist you with the preparation of your Will whether it be a simple Will or if you have more complex structures including trusts and companies to ensure your wishes are met. Mallory also works in the area of probate and administration acting for and advising executors as well as those family members who may not have been made provision for in the will of the deceased. Mallory has instructed Counsel in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in a family provision matter.

Mallory regularly advises in relation to purchases and sales of rural, commercial and residential properties. Mallory has a strong working knowledge of all aspects of property transactions including the preparation of, review and advice on, contracts of sale, transfers and leases. Mallory also regularly deals with rural water in both Victoria and NSW.

Mallory is focused on giving sound and diligent advice as well as the needs of her clients. She guides her client through the legal process step by step is focused on achieving the best outcome for her clients.
